Tell this government: We oppose the Refugee Ban Bill

This government’s inhumane and cruel Refugee Ban Bill is being voted on in just one week. The bill will effectively ban the right to seek asylum in the UK for most refugees. This is chilling.

Suella Braverman is calling the bill “compassionate and humane” but we know it is the opposite. This bill will strip away the basic rights of torture survivors and refugees and we know the government is prepared to bulldoze international laws in the process.

This cannot and does not represent us.

Sign the petition and tell this government: not in our name

To Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman,

We, the undersigned, are writing to tell you that your cruel new Refugee Ban Bill does not represent us as British people.

We should be welcoming people fleeing torture, war and persecution - not criminalising them and turning them away.

It is not too late to abandon these inhumane plans and restore the UK’s reputation as a country that cares.
